Privacy Policy for Event Alarm Sync App

This Privacy Policy explains how Event Alarm Sync App ("the App") handles information.

1. Summary

The App reads your device calendar events to schedule alarms. Calendar data is processed on your device. The App does not run its own backend server and does not automatically send your calendar data to the developer.

2. Information the App accesses

The App may access:

  • Calendar data (for example: event title, event time, reminder times, calendar name, event ID)
  • App settings you choose (for example: selected calendars, alarm/snooze options)
  • Optional diagnostic logs generated on-device

3. Permissions used

The App requests Android permissions needed for alarm functionality, including:

  • READ_CALENDAR (read events/reminders)
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS (show alarm notifications)
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM (timely alarms)
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED (restore alarms after reboot)
  • WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE, VIBRATE
  • USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
  • REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS (optional reliability setting)

4. How information is used

Information is used only to:

  • Find upcoming calendar reminders
  • Schedule and manage alarms
  • Save your app preferences
  • Provide optional diagnostics (logs) for troubleshooting

5. Data sharing and disclosure

  • The App does not sell personal data.
  • The App does not automatically share calendar data with third parties.
  • If you choose "Send to Dev" or export/share logs, information in those logs is shared only by your action (for example, through your email app).

6. Storage and retention

  • Data is stored locally on your device (Android DataStore/SharedPreferences and local log files).
  • You can clear logs from the App settings.
  • Uninstalling the App removes app-local stored data.

7. Third-party services

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics/crash-reporting SDKs in the release build.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated in future app releases. The latest version should be published with an updated effective date.
