Privacy Policy for Event Alarm Sync

Information the App accesses

Depending on the platform and permissions you grant, the App may access:

• Calendar events, including titles, times, reminder offsets, calendar names, identifiers, participation status, locations, notes, and meeting links.
• Incomplete reminders with due dates.
• Settings you choose, such as selected calendars, filtering, alarm timing, alarm actions, sounds, and title wording.
• Alarm scheduling state, silenced, dismissed, or snoozed state, and widget timeline state.
• Diagnostic logs generated locally to explain permission, import, scheduling, cancellation, and widget behavior.

How information is used

The App uses this information to import selected events and reminders, calculate alarm times, schedule and manage alarms, show app and widget timelines, preserve your preferences, and provide optional troubleshooting diagnostics.

Platform permissions

Anonymous analytics and crash information

Beginning with iPhone version 1.0.2 and Android version 2.0.11, Share Anonymous Analytics is enabled by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings without affecting App features.

When enabled, PostHog may receive a random per-install App identifier; platform, App version/build, distribution, operating-system version, coarse device model/type, and lifecycle events; named product actions with boolean, enum, or bucketed properties; normalized handled-error categories; and exception type plus allowlisted stack-frame metadata.

The App does not send calendar or reminder titles, notes, locations, attendees, organizers, meeting links, calendar/account names, event/calendar/reminder/alarm identifiers, App-supplied event or alarm dates or times, ringtone values, local/exported logs, diagnostic history, raw exception messages, user-entered text, contact details, or advertising identifiers to PostHog. Error breadcrumbs, arbitrary error properties, session replay, screen or element capture, network/console capture, feature flags, surveys, and person profiles are disabled.

Storage and retention

App data is stored locally in the App’s private storage. On iOS, limited state is also stored in the private App Group shared only with the Event Alarm Sync widget. Diagnostic history is bounded by the App. Removing the App removes app-local data according to the operating system’s uninstall behavior.

Calendar events and reminders remain in the accounts that own them because the App reads rather than owns that source data.

Turning anonymous analytics off stops product and error capture. Android also closes the analytics client and deletes its dedicated pending local event queue. Turning the setting off does not retroactively delete events already received by PostHog. The Event Alarm Sync project currently uses PostHog’s one-year event retention for the Free plan, so received analytics and sanitized error events may remain for up to one year unless they are deleted sooner under PostHog account or privacy-request procedures.

Sharing and disclosure

• The App does not sell personal data.
• The App does not automatically upload calendar or reminder data to Argo34 Inc.
• PostHog processes the allowlisted anonymous analytics and sanitized error events in the United States over HTTPS as a service provider. Client IP storage is disabled for the project, and every admitted event disables GeoIP enrichment.
• If you explicitly choose Mail, Send Logs to Dev, Share, or another export action, the information shown in that action is sent through the service you select. You control each submission, and the selected email or sharing provider applies its own privacy policy.
• If you activate a meeting link, the operating system opens the selected destination app or website. That destination applies its own privacy policy.
• Information may be disclosed when legally required or when necessary to protect rights and safety, but the App does not maintain a developer server containing your app data.

Tracking and third-party services

The App does not track users across apps or websites and does not access an advertising identifier. PostHog is used only for the anonymous analytics and sanitized error processing described above. The App does not call PostHog identify, create PostHog person profiles, or use analytics for advertising.

Your choices

You can turn Share Anonymous Analytics off in App Settings at any time. You can also choose which calendars participate, change filters and alarm settings, silence alarms, turn Event Alarms off, revoke permissions in system settings, choose whether to export diagnostics, and uninstall the App to remove its local data. The App has no user account or developer-hosted profile to delete.

Children’s privacy

The App is a general productivity tool, is not directed to children, and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

Security

The App relies on operating-system app sandboxing, permission controls, and private app storage. No storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure, so avoid placing unnecessary sensitive information in exported diagnostics.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when App behavior or legal requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised effective date.
