PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
As a Content Strategist at Argo, your mission is to lead the strategy and execution of high-impact, search-optimized content that drives measurable growth for our customers. You’ll manage SEO-focused content programs across a portfolio of accounts, collaborating with writers, editors, and strategists to ensure every asset is aligned with brand goals, SEO best practices, and user intent.
YOU’LL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Managing content timelines and deliverables using internal project management tools
- Developing content calendars and campaign outlines to support customer objectives
- Creating detailed content briefs that translate keyword strategy into writer-friendly plans
- Partnering with freelance writers and editors—providing editorial direction and constructive feedback to maintain consistency, quality, and performance
- Leading content audits and optimizing existing site content based on SEO opportunities
- Participating in client calls to clarify goals, share results, and translate SEO insights into plain language
- Conducting competitor content analysis and recommending strategic opportunities
- Monitoring revision rates and writer performance to uphold high standards
- Ensuring all deliverables meet internal QA standards and reflect customer expectations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3–5 years of experience in a content marketing or editorial role, preferably in an agency environment
- Familiarity with content marketing frameworks and organic search strategy
- Proficiency with project management tools like Asana or Trello
- Experience collaborating across departments and managing content at scale
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide actionable feedback
- A clear understanding of how SEO and content work together to drive business outcomes
GOOD-TO-HAVES
- Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console
- Comfort leading conversations directly with clients
- Experience managing freelance writers or content teams
- A proactive mindset—willing to question assumptions and propose improvements
