Setup by platform
iOS 26 or later
- Open Event Alarm Sync and select Settings.
- Tap Request Access and grant AlarmKit, Calendar, and Reminders access.
- Choose the calendars that may create alarms.
- Return to the Events tab. Events, alarms, and widgets update automatically when calendar or setting changes are detected.
- Review Events and Alarms, then edit reminder offsets if needed.
- Optionally add Event Alarm Sync from the Home Screen or Lock Screen widget gallery.
AlarmKit owns the delivered system alarm surface, vibration behavior, and Stop control. Event Alarm Sync configures the schedule, title, supported sounds, and secondary action.
Android 11 or later
- Open Event Alarm Sync and complete onboarding.
- Grant the calendar, notification, and exact-alarm access requested by the App.
- Review the battery-optimization and overlay reliability options presented by the App.
- Choose the calendars that may create alarms and configure reminder filters.
- Return to the main screen. Events, alarms, and the widget update automatically when calendar or setting changes are detected.
- Optionally add the Event Alarm Sync Home Screen widget.
Android alarm delivery also depends on device notification, exact-alarm, battery, and background-execution settings. Device manufacturers may expose these controls differently.
Troubleshooting
- No events: verify calendar access, calendar selection, filters, and that the items fall within the upcoming import window.
- No alarm: verify alarm access and confirm Event Alarms is enabled. Review the Alarms list for the expected schedule.
- Changed calendar item: the App updates automatically when it detects calendar changes. Reopen the App to bring the latest state to the foreground; background timing is controlled by the operating system and may not be immediate.
- Widget looks stale: open the App and confirm the App and widget show the same Event Alarms state. They resynchronize automatically while the App is active.
- Need help: open Settings and use the available diagnostics or log-sharing action. Review the content before sending because event titles and times may appear in diagnostics.
Privacy
Read the Event Alarm Sync Privacy Policy. The App contains no advertising or analytics SDK and does not automatically upload calendar data to Argo34 Inc.
